The program was collaboratively organized by the National Authority on Tobacco & Alcohol (NATA) and the Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) on 24th August 2020 at the "The View", Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The program was welcomed by the Dr Palitha Karunapema (Director - HPB) and Dr Samadhi Rajapaksa (Chairman- NATA) explained the NATA Act with its scope and limitations. The followed session of correlation of Tobacco & Alcohol Usage with Having Cancer was done by the Dr Janaki Vidanapathirana (Director - NCCP). Then, Dr Pubudu Chulasiri (Consultant Community Physicians - Anti Malaria Campaign), discussed the community level approaches and its monitoring processes with the gathering. Next, Dr Amila Isuru (Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, University of Rajarata - Consultant Psychiatrist, Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura), presented on Psychological impacts on Tobacco & Alcohol Usage with research evidence.

In the evening session, Dr Venura Palihawadana (Consultant psychiatrist, Colombo south teaching hospital - Senior lecturer in psychiatry, University of Sri Jayawardhanapura) conducted the session on Industry interference of tobacco & alcohol. The participation certificates were distributed and finally, the vote of thank was done by Dr Uthapala Amarasinghe (Consultant Community Physician, Head Training and IEC Development Units, Health Promotion Bureau).
