National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol has the responsibility to establish effective policies and legislation, increase advocacy and efforts to empower communities to reduce the substantial harm of tobacco and Alcohol. In this context NATA has taken the initiative in carrying out Island wide programs for the authorized officers in every relevant sector, school children and community groups. In coordinating such programs and carrying out the relevant work, divisional secretaries, are to play key role by supporting the officers under their charge.

The workshop among Field officers in North Eastern Province was held on 30^th March, 2016 at Divisional secretariat office, Kurunagala.
