National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol has the responsibility to establish effective policies and legislation, increase advocacy and efforts to empower communities to reduce the substantial harm of tobacco and Alcohol. In this context NATA has taken the initiative in carrying out Island wide programs for the authorized officers in every relevant sector, school children and community groups. These programs will be implemented collaboration with the Sri Lanka Police Commission. The initial discussion of these divisional level community programs was held 28th March, 2016 at NATA office. Officers from World Health Organization, Ministry of Health, Attorney General Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Presidential Task Force, Sri Lanka Police Commission, Non-Governmental Organization were participated.
