National Authority on Tobacco & Alcohol organized a workshop for trainee Public Health Inspectors (PHI) in Regional Health Training center on 30th January 2020 with the colloberation of Ministry of Health. There were 28 trainees and they actively engaged with the workshop. The session about importance of Tobacco & Alcohol prevention and functions of NATA was conduted by Dr. Samadhi Rajapaksha (Chairman - NATA) . The following seesion was conducted by Mr. N.A. Jayathissa (former principle public health inspector) regarding key factors of NATA act. The session of "10 steps to build tobacco free zones" was conducted by Mr. Prasad (Public health inspector - Mulatiyana). Mr. Bimsara Malshan (Research officer - NATA) conducted a session about the importance of community enrollment of tobacco and alcohol prevention.
